This page explains, in plain terms, what Ewoc stores locally, which optional features send data outside the device, and which external services are involved.

1. Overview

Ewoc is an Android indoor cycling app by Melkonen Oy. The app is designed to work mostly locally on your device, and you can use the core trainer and workout features without creating a cloud account.

2. What Ewoc Stores Locally

Ewoc stores app data on your device, including:

  • FTP and heart-rate profile settings
  • selected trainer and sensor names and Bluetooth addresses
  • workout and session metrics such as power, cadence, heart rate, distance, duration, and TSS
  • session summaries and temporary export/share files
  • app settings and local feature state

3. Optional Features That Send Data

Some features send data only when you choose to use them.

  • AI workout generation: Ewoc sends the workout prompt, requested duration, FTP value, and related validation data to Melkonen backend services so the workout can be generated and returned to the app.
  • Support bundles: if you choose to export or upload a support bundle, Ewoc prepares a diagnostics package for troubleshooting. Upload requires explicit user confirmation. Support bundles are not sent to OpenAI.
  • Health Connect: if you grant Health Connect permission, Ewoc can read selected health data already stored in Health Connect for supported optional features. Health Connect access is not required for the core cycling features.
  • Subscriptions: if you use Ewoc Pro, purchase and restore flows are handled through Google Play Billing.

4. Who Receives Data

Depending on which features you use, data can be processed by:

  • Melkonen Oy backend services for AI workout generation and optional support-bundle upload
  • Google Play for subscription billing
  • Health Connect when you choose to grant its permissions

Ewoc does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics/tracking services.

5. Permissions

  • Bluetooth permissions for trainers and heart-rate sensors
  • network permissions for backend communication and Google Play Billing
  • optional Health Connect permissions only if you grant them

6. Your Choices

  • use the app without Health Connect
  • not use AI workout generation
  • not upload support bundles
  • not subscribe to Ewoc Pro
  • clear app data or uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data

7. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Last updated date when we do.
