Getting Started

This guide is for the first time you want to connect a trainer, choose a workout mode, and start riding.

What you need

  • An Android phone or tablet with Bluetooth enabled
  • An FTMS-compatible smart trainer or exercise bike
  • Optional: a BLE heart-rate monitor

Wake the trainer before scanning, keep it nearby, and make sure no other app is already trying to control it.

Follow the setup flow

  1. Set up the rider profile
  2. Connect the trainer and any optional sensors
  3. Choose the workout mode
  4. Review the summary and start the session

FTP is the most important rider value. Age and sex can improve HR-zone estimates, but they do not block trainer setup.

Choose the right mode

  • Starter Ride: simplest first guided ride
  • FTP Ramp Test: first FTP estimate or a baseline refresh
  • AI Workout: generated structured workout from a short prompt
  • Import Workout File: ride an existing `.zwo`, `.xml`, or `.ewo` file
  • Telemetry-Only Ride: ride without a structured workout

Good first choices

  • Easiest first guided session: Starter Ride
  • Best first FTP estimate path: FTP Ramp Test
  • Easiest first AI prompt: 45-minute easy endurance ride
